Happy Home Assistant is a heat pump and home appliance cleaning service based in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, why we collect it, and how you can reach us about it. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Booking and quote requests. When you request a quote or book a cleaning, our booking provider, BookingKoala, collects the details you enter, such as your name, phone number, email address, home address, and information about your heat pump or appliances. We use this information only to provide the service you asked for: scheduling, quoting, confirmations, and reminders. BookingKoala processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy policy.

Contacting us. If you call or email us, we keep the contact details and correspondence needed to respond to you and manage your service.

Website analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics (via the Google tag and Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use our site: which pages are visited and how people find us. Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and the site works exactly the same.

Advertising measurement. Also only with your consent, we use Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure whether our ads lead to quote requests and bookings, and to help those platforms show our ads to people more likely to be interested. These tools set cookies and share limited technical information (such as pages visited and that a quote or booking happened) with Google and Meta, who process it under their own privacy policies. If you decline the banner, none of these advertising tags load.

The non-essential cookies we use are for analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising measurement (Google Ads, Meta Pixel), and they are all off by default. On your first visit we ask whether you're okay with them, accepting the banner turns on both analytics and advertising cookies; declining keeps them all off. Your choice is saved in your browser and respected on return visits. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which will make the banner appear again.

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share information with service providers (like BookingKoala, Google, and Meta) as needed to run the business and measure our advertising, and only as described above, and never without your consent for the analytics and advertising tools.

We keep booking and customer records for as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal and tax obligations, and handle any follow-up questions about past work.
